In recent years, the kefir diet has not left the top position in the popularity rating. The reviews about it are very, very positive. And this is quite understandable. It is not often that you find a mono-diet, the main components of which can almost completely meet the body's needs for essential nutrients. Indeed, look at the composition of kefir - it contains proteins and carbohydrates (and carbohydrates of animal origin - which are generally very rare) and saturated fat, which the body needs to absorb fat-soluble vitamins and form sex hormones.
At the same time, kefir is a fermented milk product, which means that lactose intolerance ("milk sugar", found in milk) is no longer a problem. A kefir diet will allow you to improve the function of your gastrointestinal tract by introducing beneficial bacteria into your intestines (however, if you have ulcers or other diseases in the digestive system, then such a diet is contraindicated for you).
But of course, you need to understand that the protein, fat and carbohydrate content is not the only condition to call an effective and safe diet. As with any other diet, it is necessary to take vitamins, because by depriving yourself of certain types of food, you have deprived yourself of the vitamins and minerals contained in them.
How much weight can you lose in 3 days, in a week, in 10 days?
I understand very well that this is the most important question, because before we make a sacrifice, we all want to know what benefits we will get in the end. I will disappoint you, there is no specific number, it all depends on what shape you are in at the moment. There are at least 2 options here:
- If your height is 170 cm and your weight is 110 kg, then you have clearly accumulated 40-50 extra kilos. In this case, you can easily lose 1-1. 5 kg per day on a kefir diet and lose 7 or even 10 kg per week.
- But, if you are a sporty girl who, with a height of 170 cm, decided to lose weight to 55 kg with the current 65 kg, then prepare to work longer.
In the first case, weight will be lost quickly due to the loss of a large amount of fluid contained in the body due to the oxidation of visceral fat (this is the fat that covers the internal organs) and muscle loss simultaneously.
And in the second case, the body does not actually have excess fat. There is only subcutaneous, which is a strategic energy reserve for the body, and it will separate only as a last resort. You should not lose all 10 kg in a week with kefir. Maximum 3 kg. Because your body does not have excess fluid, and if you do sports, then it will not release the muscles.
Kefir diet for 7 days and lose 10 kg?
A very popular question on the Internet. As I already explained, such a result is indeed possible, but for this you must be very big. I would like to answer the question from a slightly different angle: which version of the kefir diet is the most popular and why you should not try it.
Today, the most common version of the kefir diet involves consuming one and a half liters of kefir per day. Also, depending on the duration of the diet, small portions of meat or vegetables can be added to the diet.
Let's think how long it will take us to end up in a hospital bed, following such a menu.
We will consider the question from the point of view of calorie content. I honestly don't believe in counting calories, but in this case it will be an example.
If you have a sedentary job and don't move much, your body spends about 1000 kcal per day. He needs them to maintain brain function, maintain the function of internal processes such as breathing, blood supply, digestion and sometimes lifting a spoon.
100 grams of kefir contains 50 kcal, which means that by drinking 1. 5 liters of kefir per day and not eating any other food, you will get a maximum of 750 kcal per day. And you need at least 1000 kcal. In which organ will the body begin to store without providing energy? I don't want to check this.
Yes, if you want to try, then, of course, no one will stop you, but if you only drink kefir for more than three days in a row, then you will continue your weight loss in the hospital under a glucose drip.
That is why, if we talk about the kefir diet, then we should not focus only on it.
Let's look at options for the kefir diet, which involves the use of other products
Kefir diet with apples
A popular combination. But in vain. Apples are fructose, which, roughly speaking, is the same as carbohydrates. And excess carbohydrates, as we know, is a direct route to fat gain. Taking apples with kefir does not have any cumulative effect. And apples appear here only because they are the most non-allergenic and year-round fruit. You can also write about kefir diet with banana, pear or mango. But we all know apples better. So they wrote about it over time, gradually turning it into a very healthy product for weight loss. And vegetables are much more effective in this matter.
Kefir diet with buckwheat
It's already hotter. Buckwheat is one of the so-called "long-lasting" carbohydrates. "They do not immediately give all their energy to the body, but do so gradually, without causing a sudden spike in blood sugar levels. To be fair, it should be noted that not only buckwheat has the same effect. And oatmeal and pearl barley and barley have the same properties. Therefore, you should not focus only on buckwheat; the more diverse the menu, the better.
Kefir diet with meat
But this is not so good. As we have said, kefir is a product of animal origin. On a kefir diet, you already get a lot of protein and animal fat. There is no need to burden the liver and kidneys with the same thing. Moreover, a kefir diet can heal your pancreas (or rather, the body itself will heal it during the period of avoiding fatty foods), and adding meat will cancel out those pleasant side effects. Therefore, you should not dilute your diet with boiled or fried meat. Maybe just fish. But very rarely. No more than once a week.
And now that we have obtained some theories, let's create our ideal menu based on kefir, where you can last long enough to get the expected effect, and without harming yourself.
Kefir diet. menu for this week
No, of course you can survive 2 weeks on such a menu, and there is even a month, but practice shows that the most noticeable results come exactly in the first week. Then the effect decreases dramatically.
Breakfast
This is the time when we can eat carbohydrates and nothing will happen to us for it. Therefore, we will eat porridge for breakfast. As we already know, it can be anyone. Buckwheat, barley, oats. A piece of butter won't hurt at all. The main thing to remember is that porridge should be cooked from grains, and not from an instant bag.
Drinks will be either water or tea or coffee without sugar.
Lunch
Kefir. A glass or two. To reduce hunger.
dinner
For lunch we will have a vegetable salad. Ideally, it will be made from cabbage or cucumber and tomato. These are vegetables that contain mainly fiber to maintain normal digestion and do not contain starch, which is a fast carbohydrate. You can also add vegetables to the salad: arugula, sorrel, etc. Greek salad would also be an excellent choice. You can drink unsweetened tea or coffee.
All. This is where the turning point occurs. After lunch, only kefir is on your menu. There is no need to limit yourself to a certain section and time of administration. We felt a headache and drank a glass of kefir. And it doesn't matter how many glasses you get every day. It doesn't matter what time you drink. The main thing is not to feel hungry. This is a very important thing. Do not let your body know that you are on a diet, otherwise it will deliberately slow down your metabolism and the effectiveness of the diet will decrease dramatically.
It is very important to drink plain water. It's easy to miss this point on the kefir diet. Therefore, set yourself a clear time to drink water. Ideally, one glass right after waking up, right before lunch and two glasses before bed.
That all. The further path depends only on you. As long as you can endure this, dare to say, small menu, you can lose a lot of weight. On average this is 3-4 kg per week.
Remember one thing: no diet makes sense if after that you start eating the same way as before.
My advice to you is that after the kefir diet, return to normal food gradually. Leave vegetables for lunch, but add meat soup to it. Remove kefir from dinner, but replace it not with carbohydrates, but with protein foods: meat, fish, eggs. By gradually switching to regular foods, you can maintain the results obtained and choose a diet that will be tasty and healthy for you in the future.
P. S. There is no need to blindly copy what is offered to you as a universal recipe. Take a few hours of your time, but create a menu that suits you. An individual approach always guarantees results!
